Training teachers for Islamic religious education: a case study from Finland

The research deals with teacher training of Islamic religious education (IRE) teachers in Finland. The aim of the research is to examine what challenges and problems are related to the organizing of academic teacher education from the perspective of Islamic education. The research draws insights from the field of Islamic education research in other European countries and introduces new perspectives to the field of religious education research in Finland.
