My project explores how forms of dwelling, memory, and belonging are reconfigured through movement and displacement. Starting from my ongoing research on migration and Indigenous knowledge, I am interested in how these experiences can be translated into spatial, material, and symbolic structures. During the residency, I will focus on developing a body of research that responds to the surrounding landscape and the experience of inhabiting a temporary place. I am particularly interested in observing how architecture, environment, and everyday gestures shape a sense of belonging, even in conditions of transience. Through writing, drawing, and audiovisual work, I will build a visual and conceptual archive that reflects on fragile forms of shelter, domesticity, and adaptation. Rather than producing final objects, this period will allow me to deepen a process of thinking through materials, gestures, and spatial imaginaries that later unfold into installations.This project is also informed by Indigenous ways of understanding time and existence, particularly the idea of being anchored in the present as an active and ongoing state. In contrast to capitalist temporalities that prioritize productivity and constant projection into the future, I am interested in exploring forms of “being” that emerge through attention, repetition, and embodied experience. In this sense, migration and resilience are not only conditions of displacement, but also ways of generating dialogues with the present, where memory, body, and territory coexist and continuously transform. The project seeks to create a dialogue between personal memory, collective histories, and the specific context of the residency, exploring how ways of living and building meaning shift across territories.
