The Foundation encourages mutual interaction between its grant receivers, with mentoring being one of the tools for this. Peer mentoring provides a low-threshold way for you to share and receive expertise as an equal conversation partner.
In the kick-off workshop, participants will familiarise themselves with the principles of peer mentoring and learn about tools for identifying the type of support they need. In addition, there will be time to form the groups. No prior knowledge of peer mentoring is required for the workshop: it is enough that you are interested in the topic and willing to develop in your work in a meaningful way.
The workshop will be led by Virpi Haavisto, a professional coach and facilitator, who specialises in facilitating the work and management of creative specialists. Her background is in occupational psychology, leadership and organisational behaviour. Haavisto’s research at the University of Art and Design has involved the study of creative work and emotions in relation to work that is artistically creative.
The mentoring period will end with a joint meeting in September, in which experiences will be summed up and feedback given.
Sign up for the mentoring programme. There are places for the first 40 who sign up. We will be sending an email shortly to notify all who have been accepted in the program.
