An exhibition of the works of the Lauttasaari Manor park’s invitational art competition

Kone Foundation is currently renovating Lauttasaari Manor for its new premises. In addition to the buildings, the park of the manor will be refurbished and works of art will be acquired for it. Late in 2016, Kone Foundation invited the following artists to take part in the planning competition for a piece of art to be placed in the park of Lauttasaari Manor. Pekka and Teija Isorättyä, Marja Kanervo, Janne Nabb and Maria Teeri, Tiina Pyykkinen.

The artists submitted their proposals by the end of March 2017. The panel of judges made their choice on 3 April 2017. The winner, by a unanimous vote, was Lahopuutarha (Decayed Garden) by the nom de plume Echinocystis lobata, revealed as the artist duo of Janne Nabb and Maria Teeri.

All of the competition entries are on display 21.6.–15.9. in the Lauttasaari library.
