Residency artists and researchers Animation Tatu Pohjavirta animation artist Tatu Pohjavirta (born 1977) is a Helsinki-based animation artist. Since graduating from Turku Arts Academy in 2001, he has worked as a director, producer and teacher. He is best known for his puppet animations Looking Glass and Animal and his joint projects with Mark Ståhle. His animations have been featured in numerous international film festivals around the world. In addition to films, he is involved in installation and performance art. His works have been exhibited in Finland, St Petersburg in Russia, Tallinn in Estonia and Birmingham in the United Kingdom, among other places.
