Rasmus Östling is a Finnish artist whose interests in art include ordinariness, idleness and the anti-aesthetic. He works with sound alone and together with others.

During his residency, he will work on several projects simultaneously, such as an interpretation of two text scores by Swedish folklorist and artist Bengt af Klintberg, an installation based on this work and a remote collaboration with Australian sound artist Felicity Mangan. Each work is based on his interests mentioned above but often seeks a different interpretation. The peace offered by the residence environment will allow him to work smoothly on several pieces and immerse himself in them completely. In the best case scenario, life and creating art will merge into one continuous experience.
