Residency artists and researchers Performing arts, performance art Pelikaani Work group Work on a five-part performance series based on Tommi Parkko’s poetry collection Pelikaani began at the beginning of 2013. Each of the entity’s five separate performances approach the dialogue between poetry and performance art from different perspectives. At the Saari Residence, three directors will work on three different performances. The final performance of the series will be held in November during poetry week in Turku (Varsinais-Suomen runoviikko 2013). The expertise of the group spans both performance and visual art as well as literature, and its members include director and performance artist Elsa Ervasti, director Milla Minerva Mertanen, poet Tommi Parkko, video artist Janne Rehmonen, performance artist Elina Väänänen as well as the pelican, a bird.
