I am a fiction writer. I will be working on several chapters on my novel-in-progress, The Homeland War, which explores social class and toxic masculinity at the outbreak of the Yugoslav Wars. I expect to write 20-30,000 words during the residency. I research and write for several hours a day, often punctuated by walks and cultural excursions.

Christopher Linforth is the author of three story collections,  The Distortions (Orison Books, 2022), winner of the 2020 Orison Books Fiction Prize, Directory (Otis Books/Seismicity Editions, 2020), and When You Find Us We Will Be Gone (Lamar University Press, 2014).
