Suggest a name for the upcoming communal space in Mynämäki centre!

The Saari Residence has rented premises in the Mynämäki town centre that will be converted into a communal space from early April until the end of September.

The communal space needs a name, and we’re challenging you to come up with suggestions!

The new space is located in the former bookshop at Y-kulma in Mynämäki (address Keskuskatu 20). The communal space will host the Mynämäki night school as well as various public events, such as exhibitions of works by guest artists at the Saari Residence and workshop activities.

Names can be suggested until 10 April at either the communal space letterbox or via email at saari@koneensaatio.fi with the title “Name suggestion”. You can also submit suggestions with the online form here.

The winner of the name contest will be decided by a committee appointed by Saari Residence and consisting of both invited Mynämäki residents and staff members of the residence.

The winner of the name contest will receive a book prize of three volumes from the Saari Residence publication series: winner of the Beautiful Book Prize 2017 Siirtolaispuutarha – Kasvio Saaren kartanon muinais- ja uustulokkaista by Kalle Hamm and Dzamil Kamanger, The Colour Chart of Community Art: Encounters and everyday magic. Community art projects coordinated by Pia Bartsch at the Saari Residence and “Saaren kartano Mynämäellä”.

In addition, all participants have the chance to win an official Saari Residence shopping bag. The content of the bag is a surprise.

The winning name of the contest will be announced by 13 April.

Winners will be notified in person.

The communal space is part of the ten-year anniversary programme of Kone Foundation’s Saari Residence.
