Grants

30.09.2015

Application period for grants ends 30 September at 7pm

We continued the application period for Kone Foundation grants until 7pm.

Once again in September, you can apply for grants in research, popularising research and arts and culture.

We support research in humanities, social sciences as well as environmental and artistic research. Individual doctoral researchers (€2 360/month), post-doctoral researchers (€2 700/month) and experienced researchers (3 500€/month) can apply for researcher grants, and researcher groups for project funding. In research projects, co-operation between researchers and journalists can be funded. Funding for popularising research is granted for non-fictional writing and translation, for development of Finnish-language academic periodicals and for other project, as events. The grants for arts and culture are for all fields of art.

The thematic funding call ‘Description of Uralic languages’ will also be open during the application period.

Our emphasis is on projects that contain new perspectives, and which are even marginal. Multidisciplinarity and combining the perspectives of reasearch and the arts, are given a priority, too. We especially encourage you to apply for funding for co-operation between Finnish and Russian researchers and artists.

Application period is from September 1 to September 30 at 7 pm Finnish time (Eastern European Summer Time, GMT + 3).
