A Pile of Frames

Sound poet Dirk Huelstrunk and dancer Milla Koistinen met and worked at the Saari Residence in 2012. They started to collaborate with a series of short structured improvisation around the themes of repetition, piling. The concept was further developed into a performance called A Pile of Frames.

– A Pile of Frames is a series of movement and vocal sound pieces about frames, pile and repetitions in the format of a concert. It consists of short structured improvisations and altogether will be approximately one hour. Languages involved are German and English, but the use of words is minimalistic and sound oriented, so the project can be understood internationally, descibes Dirk Huelstrunk the piece that has been performed several times both in Germany and Finland.
