The Homeland War: A Novel

At the residency, I will work on two related projects: a personal essay on spomeniks (Yugoslavian monuments) and a novel that interrogates social class and toxic masculinity during the outbreak of the Yugoslavian Civil War. Over the residency period of two months, I will research and write every day leading to two outcomes: 1. A complete 5000 word essay. 2. Two chapters of my novel, around 15000 words.
