The research has two key objectives: to explore the (potential) impact of circulating textual and visual representations, and to think about how to deal with the unequal power relations in the context of critical interdependences. The research will use the methods of textual and visual media analysis, semi-structured interviews and participant observation. It will aspire to produce the knowledge relevant beyond academia and to boldly experiment with more inclusive, dialogic and power-balancing research process. In doing so, this research will tell us more about the actual enactment of the position which is critical to both local and global unequal, discriminatory and exploitative power relations.
