Residency artists and researchers Comic art Emelie Östergren Cartoonist and Visual Artist Emelie Östergren (b.1982) was educated at Konstfack in Stockholm, where she received her bachelor’s degree in 2007. Her comics and illustrations have been published in books, anthologies, comics, magazines and fanzins both in Sweden and abroad. With a style that can be described as avant-garde and experimental with elements of fantasy and surrealism, she has developed a mannerism that is quite unique. She is known for her books Evil Dress and Duke and His Army – A Dream Revisited published on Sanatorium publishers.
