Summer’s Long Corner (Larga Esquina de Verano)

Application summary

My goal is to expand my artistic practice through the study of poetry across different eras, to understand how the idea of nature emerges and shifts in a metaphorical level. This artistic research is grounded in themes of migrating ecologies, diaspora, and ecological displacement. At the same time, I will organize collaborative workshops for the general public and artistic audiences, focusing on the materiality and history of metaphors and how they shape our experience relationship to the natural world. The grant period will also support the creation of new works that integrate poetry, ephemeral art, and durational performance. This project seeks to dissolve disciplinary boundaries, while engaging communities in a shared reflection on impermanence, belonging, and coexistence.
