flies in my eyes

Application summary

flies in my eyes is a project about fragile embodiment and the disturbances that shape perception and intimacy. Like the small shifting specks that float across vision when staring at the sky, our experiences of closeness, desire, and loss are constantly interrupted by invisible forces. Through speculative video, kinetic sculpture, wearable textiles and performance, I aim to create a body of work that embodies longing and rupture. The project unfolds as a series of exhibitions in 2026–2027, each a chapter in a sustained inquiry into attachment, perception, and survival. While my perspective is shaped by transfeminine experience — including transition, misrecognition, and the search for intimacy — the works open onto broader questions of how all bodies navigate vulnerability, connection, and change.
