Visit the Lauttasaari Manor

Welcome to Lauttasaari Manor! The restored mansion acts as Kone Foundation's premises and our staff office. You can visit the Manor by signing up for our guided tours for the general public, our private tours or during the events we organise. The Manor is not available to rent for private events. Due to the coronavirus pandemic all visits are cancelled for now.

Lauttasaari Manor tours

The Lauttasaari Society’s history team organises public tours of the Lauttasaari Manor. These tours offer a wonderful opportunity to explore the Manor’s history.

The tours are free of charge, but require registration in advance. You can sign up for them on the Lauttasaari Society’s  or Kone Foundation’s websites. The opportunity to register will be opened a week before the tour at 6 p.m.

The Lauttasaari Society also organises private tours of the Lauttasaari Manor. If you wish to book a private tour, please contact the Lauttasaari Society’s history team.

Kone Foundation’s public events

We organise public events at the Lauttasaari Manor which are open to everyone. You can find upcoming events on the Foundation’s website calendar. You can also subscribe to our newsletter to receive news about our events by email. Some of the events require registration in advance.

The Manor is not rented for private functions, but the communal space located in the Red Villa is available for free for events that are open to the public.

Our events are discrimination-free zones where racism, sexism, discrimination based on disability or health (ableism), transphobia and homophobia in their broadest senses will not be tolerated.

Events directed at our grant recipients

We organise events belonging to the Apurahat+ programme which are directed at our grant recipients and which we announce in the Apurahat+ newsletter. The grant recipients can also propose events to be held at the Manor which are related to the projects funded by the Foundation. Such proposals can be made in connection with the application for the Bold Makers events which take place twice a year. Otherwise, grant recipients can take advantage of the Chamber facilities to organise their own events.

You can get to the Lauttasaari Manor by metro or the buses 20, 21, 21B, 104, 112N and 192T. The address of the Manor is Otavantie 10, 00200 Helsinki. For people with mobility challenges, there is barrier-free access to the Manor at the back of the building, from Kauppaneuvoksentie 18.

We wish you a warm welcome!
