Time and place: Tuesday, 28 May, from 3 to 5 pm, Lauttasaari Manor (Otavantie 10, Helsinki, obstacle-free entrance via Kauppaneuvoksentie)
A new music club is about to emerge in Helsinki, with the multi-genre club Sattuma opening its doors in Botta in August. The Sattuma event will be held on the fourth floor of the Botta building, in the premises of the Tina Club every Tuesday night, starting in August.
The club will offer a cross-section of both Finnish and international artists. Every week, bands from various genres across the board will be taking the stage.
“We wanted to create a new music club designed to combine the forces of different genres. Every week will bring a surprise as to what music will be played at the club. I guarantee there will be wonderful experiences ahead,” says Saku Mattila, a member of the band Tölöläb and one of the club founders.
The organisers are four stakeholders of the Helsinki music scene: the early-music association Café Barock, the jazz collective Vallilan Jazz, the Kamari association of classical chamber music and the electro-acoustic band Tölöläb.
The Sattuma club’s programme will be announced on Wednesday, 5 June 2019, and the celebrations will begin at 6 pm at the Kone Foundation’s Lauttasaari Manor and garden in the Lauttasaari district of Helsinki. After the Lauttasaari Manor closes its doors, the music and the party will continue in the courtyard building, starting around 7.30 pm, and the garden party will end around 9 pm.
