RECEPTION will spread out to several towns and cities on the west coast of Finland with a variety of interesting events that are listed on the official website of the triennial and on the social media (in Finnish). A few Saari Alumni will also be involved in the triennial: Sari Palmgren and Sonja Jokiniemi. During two months, the Saari Residence and the surrounding area will host a number of community art events that you can learn about on the official website of the triennial and by following the Saari Residence on the social media.

Make sure you also mark in your calendar and join in the IHME Days on 1 to 4 April in Helsinki, where on April Fool’s Day, 1 April, RECEPTION will officially be opened. The IHME Days start with a Community Art – Taike Day where we will be asking questions, such as Where does community art sit on the contemporary art map and on the visual art map, in particular, these days? What kind of environments and communities are artists working with? What kind of thoughts does community art awaken among funding bodies? These are some of the issues to be discussed (in Finnish) at the Old Student House at Mannerheimintie 3, 00100 Helsinki. on 1 April 2016 at 11:00-15:00.
