News Kone Foundation’s activities 02.10.2015 Highly topical contemporary art at the Foundation Day Share: Finland’s second Foundation Day was held on 1 October. The target was to widely publicise the work of foundations and the support they provide to art, research and culture. The Day of Foundations and Donors included six films that have been backed by Finnish foundations. The films broadly reflect the different roles and remits of the various foundations, but all of them address themes of Finnishness and changes in Finnish society. During the afternoon documentarian and professor Susanna Helke, journalist and civic activist Maryan Abdulkarim, Member of Parliament and actor Jani Toivola discussed identity and the power of live image.
